In 2008, Gardella Racing debuted their Pontiac Solstice GXP drift car with talent Ryan Tuerck in the driver's seat. The team followed the complete Formula Drift series campaigning a stock Eco-tec motor program throughout the season. With this street car application, the team was able to have a podium finish in ATL, finish 6th on the points ladder, and Tuerck took home the "driver of the year" title.
The team finished 2nd in overall points in 2009 and 3rd overall this past season with the help of an upgrade to a LS7 engine application. Gardella Racing is ready to be a top contender for the Formula D 2011 Championship with a new platform, a Chevy Camaro
